Tasty hoppy Brett saison. Pours a bright canary yellow gold, billowing head, three fingers of foam, sudsy lace, rocky craters on the surface.
Aroma is rustic, herbal hops, eucalyptus, light wet straw and brie rind.
Taste is a little more Brett forward, funky and mildly tart, dry bitterness, mild leather. Lemon custard meringue, minus the sugar. Medium bodied and effervescent, creamy feel on the last pour with yeast added.
Overall a great summer quencher, glad they are making funky saisons like this one.
Makes a great pairing with Alpinette, a local WI-made raclette.
