Personally, I found this closer to an AIPA. Under Pressure has more bitter than most APAs.
But this brew still serves its purpose, it is refreshing... albeit aggressive in the finish.

As for PBC, I like their slant of heavy use of campy/exaggerated graphics and "every brew tells a story." Under Pressure's story is "Tales From Down The River" (in LA.) However it is important to note that humorous marketing alone does not produce great beers. This is my only brew from PBC and I will wait a few years for them to grow into the profession more.

Very clear golden color and decent head.
On the nose isn't bold but subdued notes.
Lots of bitterness,subtle fruitiness.
Big carbonation and medium chewy feel.
I like beers with a bitter bite so I enjoyed it

Picked this up at the Trader Joe's in Toluca Lake not too long ago when I was out in California on vacation. Never had anything from Paper back before and this was a decent American Pale Ale that was typical for this part of the country and relatively easy to drink, with a sharp bitterness in the aftertaste.

This had a nice, golden hue to it that was plenty waxy and topped off with a soapy head that took it's time to settle. Lots of lacing was left behind, mostly along the top half of my pint glass. Lots of fine bubbles came up through it as the carbonation was faint, but present throughout my session. A good amount of pine forest, resin, and sharp hops were in the mellow nose as they were more pronounce in the taste. Soap came through in the taste with a ton of stickiness and acrid citrus pith that fully emerged once this completely warmed up. A bit of mango livened things up as the DDH aspect of this beer was quite apparent and bold in nature.

The bitterness was hefty and grapefruit was in the aftertaste as this almost needed a chaser of water to finish it off. 412187 was stamped on the bottom and although I didn't know what that meant, this looked and felt fresh. This wasn't a bad beer as much as it was decent, but not as well-rounded and smooth as it's more know counterparts. Loved the label but the liquid on the inside could have been a bit more fun and lively...

16oz can with "118921" on the bottom of the can. Sample from the brewery.

Pours pale yellow, touch of chill haze, and a thick fluffy head with lots of lacing action. Nose is soft (almost muted) with some grain, floral, and fruity notes. Very clean. First sip is smooth and creamy with a medium body with some chewiness. Overripe tropical fruits, grapefruit, super piney and resiny with a sticky bitterness that lingers. Bready and grainy malt backbone with a touch of honey. Dry, ashy, bitter, and astringent finish.

The nose is uneventful and the finish is quite aggressive, but a overall a decent double dry-hopped Pale Ale.

Poured from 16 oz can. Undated. Stamped 118921. That's not helping.
Says DDH, but no mention of hop profile.
Bright golden and clear. Plenty o' head. White, fluffy, and slow at retreating. Great retention coupled with clumpy lacing.
At first the nose goes with a bitter, piney note. But slowly some flowery citrus comes through. Then slowly, slowly some tropical notes wash in: mango & papaya. A mild sweet grain note is present as well.
Flavor is predominantly pine resin bitter with an ever so slight nod toward citrus. Less complex than the nose. But comes off as more of that classic west coast APA, think younger cousin of SNPA.
Mouthfeel is on the fuller side for an APA. Carbonation is great. Finish is smooth and the bitter mellows on the end.
Overall, a fine beer, although part of me wishes for the flavor to follow the complexity of the nose a bit more.
