It’s a nice, pleasant beer. Lemon, lemon blossom, jasmine, tangerine, honey. Bit of cracker malt. Very slight citrus peel and gingery hop bitterness. Not super complex. Just a nice combo of refreshing, pleasant flavors. And a fun name and label design. Pretty good. The aftertaste is a little too sour and bitter.

Micros can focus on their sense of humour and having fun almost as much as they focus on their beer.
So it is with Paperback. They may be in the top decile for off-beat humour as reflected in their brew names and labels.
This one is almost funny to me... but then I remembered I'm half-Italian.
But if BA needs any more reason to create an Italian pils category, Capiche? adds to the pile.
This certainly is not a Czech, whose style typically has a long -- and sometimes harsh -- bitterness. Instead Capiche? has a gentle bitter and also very soft. It also Looks foamy and lacey... and I also give points for good labels. Smells are mostly malt. Tastes are well-balanced with just enough hops to keep the malts in line. So soft that Capiche is beyond medium-mouthed.
This is my second from Paperback and I went on their website and I've reviewed their labels and have decided that these guys are among the most serious label-makers. And since they seem to be improving their beers also, I'll give Paperback very good Overall Hugs.

16 oz can.
A little darker in hue than is typical for style but quite beautiful. Abundant head, great retention, layered lacing.
Nose presents the classic Noble hop medley: slightly herbal, a hint citrusy and mildly peppery. Biscuity malt undercurrent through out.
Flavor follows the nose in a solid presentation of what I would call a ride between bold and balanced.
Mouthfeel is spot on, decent carb, and a lightly bitter finish.
Overall, solid.
