A vibrant and lusciously dry hopped riff on German-style pilsner, it’s rare to find a fresh taste outside of Italy. Our Bella Strada “beautiful road” pays homage to the Stelvio Pass, the zig zagging mountain road that climbs the Italian Alpi. Much like the Alps, this Italian-style Pilsner bridges different countries and cultures, balancing sweet Italian barley with noble German hops. Brewed with Eraclea Pilsner Malt and Zuper Saaz, Akoya, Hersbrucker and Spalter hops. A beauty to behold and a joy to drink, join us as we raise a glass to our friends at Art History. Saluti!

Mostly clear golden with a moderately short head of off-white fuzzy foam.
A little waxy almond rounds out the corny qualities before some kind of hint of funk is then dried by an herbal, softly crisp, semi-dry finish.
My first can was cracked at Dark Lord Day 2026, but I have a few more cans left to flesh this review out later.
Revisiting somewhat sober, a week later after getting my ass kicked by some head cold or some shit, my drunken notes were pretty spot on. It's got a little more of an herbal, grassy, almost allium bite. The "funk" I think comes from the toasted corn characteristic that's also a little soggy, wheaty cereal. Its sharp paper dryness is impressive, prickly. A little florality blooms in time, even.

I drank this over two lunches at it held up well; indicating a solid yeast to me that both worked the food on my plate and the food in the barley.
Bella Strada Looks above average among this rubric style. Smells mostly of malt with sufficient floral hops and lemon in the back of my nose. Tastes follow, but after the attack the hops come on stronger. I think this limits want I want to eat, not a broad variety of lunches, with Bella Strada. So on the second day, I settled for soup and the yeast helped with palate cleansing and digestion. Sufficiently bubbly.
To the limited extent that I drink lagers, I am a fan of Art History. They have great labels and are thoughtful brewers in the dullest of the three traditions. And they prove it again with Bella Strada. Auguri !

Cloudy yellow body, full white head that slowly settles. Smell has the usual floral and mildly grassy hops in the style, but has a good bit of lemon verbena too, otherwise bready yeast. Taste is surprisingly yeasty, like wow, but the sharp leafy hops cut in with lemon peel left in their wake, smashing against the solid yeast. Equally frothy and bitter, honestly an odd take on the style, not bad just not the usual balance of elements

Thanks to FBarber for this one. Received in NBS BIF #17...
Gusher at first. So...abundant head is an understatement. But once she settled down, a nice frothy cap with some clumpy lacing, and decent retention. Underneath, a slightly opaque straw to gold colored liquid.
Nose pops with a firm noble hop profile. She is not shy. Floral, spicy, and bright. Eventually a malt note pipes up. Some what and a hint of corn.
Flavor is a pleasing blend of the wheat malt base and earthy, yet spicy, hops. Not a light one.
Mouthfeel is on the petite side, slightly active carbonation, and a drying bitterness closes things out.
Overall I like the assertive flavor and nose.

I had this on draft 1/12/23 @ the Beer Temple.
Cloudy dull orange appearance.
Nice bright white head; nice lace.
Artisan soap & wheat notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Artisan soap & wheat flavors; simple, but good.
