Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. I don’t see a date on the can.
Appearance: pale golden hue with a bit of haze and a thick finger of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: sweetish malt aroma with some light corn notes and a kind of floral note. It’s very smooth, and I like it.
Taste: just a really nice smooth maltiness with a touch of graininess and corn, and a moderate, balanced bitterness. A pretty darn solid lager!
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: rather tasty and I gotta say very drinkable. Enough flavor to be interesting, but enough lightness to quaff all day.

Handsome golden amber brew with long-lasting foam in the goblet. Modest grainy aroma with a lemony nose. Very light body. Surprisingly bitter aftertaste that wears out it's welcome since there's not much other taste to sop it up. For a "Mexican Lager" this is not bad. With so many really good modestly hopped American Lagers, though, it's just another gulp. Well made though aside from too much bittering hops. From the 16 oz can purchased at Special Brews. Not dated.

16oz can purchased at Community Pint, in Spokane, WA. No freshness date.
Poured into a 16oz dimpled mug, this was a chill-hazed golden amber, with a good-sized, foamy, bone-white head.
Herbal, slightly lemony nose.
Tastes like a good beer for warmer weather. Dry, lemony fruitiness and a mildly bitter, grassiness. Ends crisp.
Light bodied, with a very crisp, clean mouth feel.
I missed the one of this series (duality?) honoring Shawn Kemp, but I always sorta liked Gary Payton more, anyway. Hitting the spot on this warm, eastern Washington afternoon. Would probably be even better when it gets downright hot later this spring/summer.
