Appearance: Poured with a substantial two fingers of head that produced good lace and retained decently enough. The body is a sickly clear yellow that boasts solid carbonation.

Smell: The beer advertises itself as honey and mint, and it is there, but it is fighting to try to get past mild banana wheat malt and the two has a peculiar meshing. The potency is there though, and it didn't need substantial warming to come out.

Taste: In a word strange. I usually find pale wheat beer doesn't do it because a bittering component ruins the wheat aspects. Here the wheat and honey start out well enough, but the flavors don't quite mesh, then the mild mint comes in and chases away the banana which works better with the honey but it's still weird as you get some creaminess from the last of the banana, before some fairly mild non-descript herbal hops try to finish things off but don't quite manage it.

Mouthfeel: The transitioning is good, the issue is the flavors don't quite mesh well and seems just akwardly stick together and do their thing. The carbonation helps out the entire beer, and the aftertaste tends towards a hint of banana with some mild mint that works, but has a weird cling that you know will oddly throw off the next sip.

Drinkability: It's not bad in terms of how easy it is to drink, but it's not really a summer drinker despite the pale color, it comes across as medium bodied. Settles down well I suppose though, although is a bit gassy.

Final Thoughts: If I was going to pick a beer that just feels like you've been thrown off, this would be it. It certainly is a peculiarity that isn't for everyone, but I don't think it's poorly made. I just think the concept doesn't work, and I think maybe wheat beer isn't the medium I'd try mixing honey and mint together. Those notes might fare better as part of a lager, but I think the issue you'd have there is the hops just drowning those notes out. Regardless, I applaud the creativity in the effort and the attempt to try something new.
