On tap at the brewery served in a shaker Pint glass.
the beer pours a deep hazy brown with light red/ruby highlights, two fingers worth of white foamy head dissipates quickly leaving behind a fair amount of sticky lacing.
The nose is spicy rye, bready, and mildy sweet with a nice yeasty character. Pretty much what you would expect from the style
The flavor follows the aroma fairly closely. Lots of spicy rye, bready and sweet malt flavors, and a nice yeast undertone that added to the mouthfeel as well as the flavor
Overall, I would say it is a good attempt at the style, especially for a new brewery that is still finding its footing. Hopefully they will continue refining the recipe and keep the beer as part of their lineup, as it's refreshing to see breweries producing more than 10 different takes on a hazy IPA...

Very rare to find any brewery let alone a newer brewery attempt this style but it came out rather nicely. Though the guidelines call for it to be cloudy/hazy, I found it to look a little murky but flavor and aroma were spot on. The hefe yeast showed through and the mouthfeel was appropriate. The flavor picked up enough of the rye spiciness to let you know that it was a Roggenbier and not a Hefeweissen. I may have scored this beer a bit high for some other tasters but the fact that they pulled this off is more than commendable.
