Beach beer. Sweet, corny, low hops. Not offensive, just not particularly interesting. Clear gold with lots of bubble action. Short-lived white head.

Not a fan of this brew. Too sweet with too much corn and not enough bready grain. No malt or hop, just sweet corn.

Tallboy can from the LCBO; no packaging date and served slightly chilled.
Pours a pale straw yellow colour, initially topped with one finger of smooth, soapy, foamy white head that fades within ninety seconds or so. A modest amount of lace is tossed about in its wake, which leaves behind a tight collar and filmy layer on the surface - looks like your average pale lager, and the nose is also pretty typical of Mexican macro fare. Cereal grain sweetness, corn chips, and not much else.
That just about sums it up for the flavour profile, too - cereal grain sweetness, corny tortilla and a touch of wet cardboard. I'm not really getting any hop presence at all, which I suppose is normal for this 'style' of beer; cereal sweetness in the aftertaste, which dries only partially. Light in body, with moderate carbonation that lends a crisp bite to this lager's smooth mouthfeel. It's easy to drink, but that's about it.
Final Grade: 3.11, a mediocre C+. La Pachanga is a relatively clean-tasting lager, but it's boring as all hell. In all fairness, Mexican lagers have never been my thing (and that's going all the way back to my very first Corona), so it's not as if I can pretend to be the target demographic for this stuff. Bland, insipid, forgettable... I think most BAs (or at least, those without a passion for macro lagers) can give this one a pass and not feel like they missed anything. Then again, these contract breweries are popping up and disappearing all the time, so maybe you ought to tick this one while you still can?

I bought a can at the LCBO in Ontario 473ml at 4.5%.
Poured a 1to 2finger head into glass
Leaves a lace as you drink it.
Clear golden color slow carbonation
Sweet malty lime taste with a very low bitterness level.
Overall an ok light lager beer.
Cheers

Pours crystal clear golden colour with a very thin head on top that dissipates quickly. The smell is corn and not much else. The taste is a combo of grains and sweetness. I cannot quite tell if lime is present or not. This beer is far more flavourful than a Corona or a Sol and I prefer it to those.

473 ml can served cold into a pint glass. LCBO purchase for $3.20 CDN. Review from Notes
Appearance – Clear pale golden brew with only a few bubbles rising to the top. A finger plus of loose white head that dissipates inside two minutes.
Smell – Mineral water notes, some faint graininess. Nothing else and not terribly pleasant.
Taste – Lots of corn, grainy, quite sweet and probably entirely too sweet. Just a kiss of lime at the end.
Mouthfeel – Medium-light bodied, wet finish. Easy drinking to be sure.
Overall – Passable Mexican style lager, but too much corn and too sweet to make this a repeat purchase.
