On tap at Queue Beer in Brooklyn, NY.

This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells slightly citrusy, but mostly bready and chocolatey, with some nice roast.

Seed’s “As Simple as” series is just really well made simple beers. It’s pleasantly malty, with just a bit of roasty bitterness, and some pithy and citrusy hop character. The hop character is very light, though – the malt carries this most of the way.

This is light bodied, pretty creamy, and very drinkable.

I’m not sure I’ll ever be in Atlantic City, but if I ever do, I really need to go this brewery.

Pours a dark cola brown that is essentially opaque thanks to the dark color. Two finger, tan, frothy head forms on the beer, linger, then dissipates completely. Aroma has notes of bready malts, cocoa, pumpernickel, and some light, subtle earthy hops.

Taste follows the nose with notes of bready malts, some roasted notes, cocoa, pumpernickel, earthy notes, and a subtle, but noticeable smokiness. It is absolutely delicious. Feel is light to medium bodied, smooth, easy drinking. Moderate carbonation.

Really nice dark lager that dabbles its toes in multiple "styles" resulting in a difficult to classify, but nonetheless delicious beer.

Pours a mahogany brown, fairly cloudy, with a substantial light tan head. The nose has lots of wheat bread notes and some smoke. Very nice.

That wheat bread is forward on the taste, and is delicious, complemented by a little cocoa flavor and a nice smoky flavor at the back of the palate. The mouthfeel is nicely crisp, and a bit creamy.

What a pleasure it is to drink this beer. Very well done by this “new to me” brewery.

Poured from the can… dark brown, only notice a murkiness when held up to light. Nice light brown head, settles to an opaque layer with a ring around the glass.

Rich bread, subtly smoky, earthy, roasty, cola and chocolate aroma. Really a lot comes out after it warms up.

Tastes shows much of the same…first dark bread, then an earthy Smokey note followed by nice lingering roast.

Light body with a fuller feel to it, finishes clean and quite dry; soft on the carbonation. Very easy to drink.
