Undated bottle; drank 11/26/22 @ the Yarchives.

Cloudy dull orange/yellow rust appearance.

A rough pour yielded a big eggshell head; a thick curtain of tree-rung lace.

Dandelion, rustic malt & raw wheat notes in the nose.

Medium mouthfeel.

Dandelion, rustic malt & raw wheat flavors.

So, yeah, "rustic" is the word for me here, and I enjoyed this quite a bit.

Side note: It was FANTASTIC as a mliko pour at the brewery.

Pours a almost completely clear burnished gold color. Thick frothy white head settles in and shows solid head retention. Head never fully dissipates.

Aroma has notes of sweet bread, white bread, light sweet clover honey and a little bit of DMS and some lager yeast notes.

Taste follows the nose with notes of sweet bread, white bread, lightly toasted with some noticeable, but not overwhelming DMS notes. The hops come through loud and clear in this one with notes of dried grass, lightly peppery herbals notes and a moderate bitterness.

Feel is light to medium bodied, smooth, drinkable. Moderate carbonation.

Overall a very nice Czech pale lager/Bohemian pilsner in the vein of pilsner urquell.

16.9oz bottle poured into dimpled Stien glass.

Appearance: Translucent bright straw yellow bodied with quite a bit of clarity noted. Big bone white head that stacks up tall. Lots of sticky lacing. Maintains a cap during the entire session of drinking this beer. Lagers don't look to much more appealing than this beer does...

Smell: The freshest bready / biscuity note that I have ever smelled in the malt profile of a lager. Clean/neutral lager yeast profile in the aroma department. Lightly spicy and herbal hops. This smells really wonderful.

Taste: Fresh baked loaf of French bread. Not much going on here "yeast wise". Lingering spicy, herbal, and floral hops in the finish and aftertaste of this lager.

Mouthfeel: Light and drinkable. This one actually drinks bigger than the listed 4% abv. That my only knock on the beer and is what keeps it firmly at 4.25 and doesn't quite achieve the 4.5 rating for mouthfeel/texture. Would have liked this to be a little more "crispy".

Overall: Sugar creek malt is a real treat; Seedz was a great brew to be entrusted with this special malt. Really great lager for sure. As of two weeks ago I had never heard of this brewery and they have serious lager game. Anytime that I go to Michigan, I will probably stop at Seedz to stock up "to-go" cans and sit down for a few draft pours.
