A: Pours a crystal clear golden/yellow color. A white head forms with good retention and lace left behind.
S: A simple aroma, but big on the pine resin and citrus.
T: Up front follows the nose with pine and citrus. This becomes solvent and woody like, with an astringent bitterness lingering.
M/O: A medium body and carbonation. That resiny/sticky/woody feeling is something I don't like in a so called lager. OK to drink, but might as well call it an IPA.
Besides making an IPA and just calling it a lager, the woody and astringent character detracts a bit. Stuck in between, where I would like a better made lager, or a full on West Coast IPA. Its OK.
