Golden Raspberry is blended from a single barrel of our first spontaneous batch of Fall 2018, one of our favorites of the 18|19 brewing season. We racked this beer at 11 months onto freshly harvested Vermont grown Anne Golden Raspberries. It rested on the fruit for a month before conditioning in oak for an additional five months prior to blending. We then laid the beer down in bottle for an additional 13 months for conditioning and flavor development. Upon release, Golden Raspberry will be 30 months
old.
Golden Raspberry displays vanilla and floral aromatics with a rich depth of juicy raspberry flavor, lemon, and orange blossom while the profile of one of our favorite barrels still shines through.

Sparkling pale amber with a short off-white head that audibly fizzles out instantaneously. The clear but active surface spritzes the nose with each sip from the 3F lambic tumbler.
The delicate nature of the golden raspberry allows a funk of grapefruit resin to shine, while a unique white wine or green grape sort of tannin develops in the background, and a touch of sesame oak emerges at subsequent visits.
The raspberry being golden presents as a lighter expression--it's still bright of raspberry character, while being a little more subtle, floral and herbal. The overall acidity is impressively, and pleasantly, low.
The light body utterly vanishes on the palate as a result of its infinitely lifting and exuberant effervescence, leading on into a cleanly dry finish.

Pours a slightly foggy medium golden color, ample micro foam head that lasts a while. Delicious aroma of funk mixed with raspberry. Outstanding raspberry flavor, I also taste light lemon peel. Gentle funk, grassy and earthy. Moderate acidity leaves a light bitterness on the finish, yet It is still mouthwatering. Microcarbination is perfect. Overall an outstanding first round from the Field $ Oak team, can’t wait for more beer from them.
