Foggy burnt red to acorn with a fluffy pale pink foam head that retains very well--that is, in a clean glass (or one that hasn't touched mineral water recently). We were staying in Arkansas Hot Springs when we popped this bottle, and one of the two glasses we used had previously contained fresh spring water, and the other was clean. The spring water glass exhibited tons of clinging bubbles on the glass, under the surface. It also was unable to build a head, let alone retain one.

An excellent first foray into spontaneous beer, Kane has exhibited tempered acid and appreciable funk coming just shy of barnyard, with a bit of straw and oaky walnut, all in mild balance. The raspberry isn't a punch to the face, while still providing a bright fruit accent that even contains a hint of strawberry, while its firm fizz comes to a semi-dry finish where a softening, slightly lactic exhale emerges. The funk slowly blooms as it warms.
