Nothing special here. Taste and aroma are underwhelming, but what is there is inoffensive. This tastes very much like a microbrewery's best impression of a standard macro lager. I honestly bought the beer more for the can than anything else.

For me to give this beer this rating, I must be getting to be a gentle old man.
First, I consider 3.25 to be average and I rarely rate a characteristic below the average.
But when a brew strays so far from the standard as this one does, it pains my soft-heart to give it even a 3.
This doesn't Look like a lager as they are clear and 77 is cloudy. Smells and Tastes are very bland, even for an American lager. This is only my second brew from Hidden Hand and I was not soft-hearted in that first review either. Nor have I developed affections for Solemn Oath who houses Hidden Hand. Maybe I'm just a crabby old man.
I do give points for Hidden Hand's good marketing and interesting cans. I also give decent Overall Hugs because 77 (named after Chicago's 77 historical neighborhoods) is a fine gesture coming from Naperville, now Chicago's largest suburb.
