Poured from a 16 oz can dated 09/12/24 to a Pils glass at fridge temp. This was a gift from another BA, it arrived cold in a styrofoam box with plenty of ice packs. Brewery website lists it at $20/4-pack.
The body is clear and is light straw in color. A puffy, pure-white head sits on top. Carbonation nucleation is heavy and mesmerizing. The head never quite fades and lacing is strong on glass tilts, but falls back to the liquid quite quickly.
There is none of the bread/biscuit aroma in a regular Pilsner. This literally smells like a 4-6% west coast IPA. Although I do detect some fresh grass aroma, it is mostly hoppy pine.
Digging in, it is very dry and hoppy- citrus rind/peel and pine sap with a background of alcohol. On a swallow my mouth drys out like it was desecant, but after a pause there is almost a sensation I just swallowed an NEIPA juice bomb. Wierd.
The mouthfeel is very light. Carbonation appropriate and not as aggressive in the mouthfeel as the appearance of all those bubbles would suggest.
I really enjoyed this creative beer. I could see this being great as a summer beer.
