As my first Wheatwine, I can't but feel I'm not doing this beer justice, poured with a finger of head, and had very long lasting carbonation in the amber body, smells boozey like wine, with sugar, grain and light touches of banana, tastes like it's missing something, like it's grain based wine but there seems to be the only the barest of wheat notes. It's potent, and even seems to have a bit of grape aftertaste. Again, I don't feel like I'm doing justice here, but this strikes me as similar to a Belgian style that I'd want to savor by itself solo, but it's just not hitting enough notes to do that job.

Booze hidden. Some sugar character but otherwise in the style. Booze constrained. I am a wheatwine fan big time, came in for this one. It's s'ok. Quaffed in sips.
