A fitting brew for a gunslinger’s brave companions. This fusion of apple and malt is the product of fermenting sweet cider with a base of rich English malts and a pub yeast for a beer with an apple aroma, vinous body and delicate tart flavor that is deceptively more like an East Anglian farmhouse cider.

16 ounce can, canned on 10/2/2024, thanks to Brutaltruth for this one! Served in a Teku glass, the beer pours a mostly clear dark gold color with not quite an inch white head. Head retention is decent and there's a good amount of lacing. Not much to the aroma, but it smells mostly like green apples and some breadiness. Taste is similar to the aroma but with more of a kick, and there's also some herbal flavors noticeable. As with the aroma, I think the green apple flavor stands out to me. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's smooth and easy to drink with a good amount of carbonation. Tastes like a cider, mouthfeel more like a beer with the carbonation. I liked this, certainly worth a try if you come across some!

From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This "graf" style (a first for me) pours a clear golden with
a moderate head of white foam that settles to a thick ring, thin dusty layer, and sports some
light lacing. Nose of tart green apples and light herbal notes dashed with a touch of acidity.
Flavors hit their mark nicely with tart green apple, saison like dry yeasty notes, cracker, and
light honey sweet malt. Mouth feel is medium light, light carbonation, smooth, and a dry finish.

Overall, a nice diversion from the standard brew with a hybrid beer and cider blend.

Unique!

Cheers
