I had this beer on-tap at the brewery in a mason jar. It is billed as a “dark table saison with spices”.
Appearance: murky super dark brown hue with a low head of tan foam. More head would be nice, but I like it.
Smell: some farmhouse funk along with a bit of caramel and an interesting character of spice - maybe cardamom with a dash of cinnamon? Whatever it is, it works for me.
Taste: a nice spicing, not over the top, with a light roast and a mild farmhouse character. It’s hard for me to categorize this in my mind - I’ve had dark saisons before, but this one is just so interesting and weird. Points for creativity!
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: this beer is just so bizarre, but I keep ordering it, so that’s obviously a good sign.
