from UnTappd and, I presume, the nano's website--
A classic farmhouse-style Saison brewed with Pilsner malt, wheat and spelt. Plenty of whole cone Celeia hops go into the kettle and we generously dry hop with Motueka, a Saaz descendant grown in New Zealand that works spectacularly well in this beer.
Crisp, clean, sweet and fruity with big bubblegum flavours that develop and evolve into the constituent parts: citrus, banana and tropical fruit balanced with gentle pepper and clove spice.
Light and easy drinking, full flavoured and beautifully balanced; hazy yellow gold with tight white foam lacing the glass. A modest kick of bitterness precedes a long, tingling, lusciously fruity finish. Saison meets IPA vibes.

Only my 3rd from Simple Things, I project that this nano is going to become a very accomplished brewer. This is a fine saison. Full of subtleties and life. I wish I had bought two cans so I could be sure that a case would be a better purchase.
While Motueka Looks above average (could have a more lively foam) and Smells largely as described below (I don't get the bubblegum part), its Tastes set this saison apart. Well balanced fruit and spicing; particularly the Peppa injected by the yeast which, I've found after drinking over 450 different saisons, is rarely accomplished outside of a few French-speaking areas of Belgium. The Motueka also is close to a masterstroke.
But rather than critique this saison more, let me finish critiquing their description below... since I added it.
It is close to truth in advertising. I mentioned the bubblegum being overplayed. The foam is good, but not that good. And I'd leave out the part "Saison meets IPA." The saison is my favourite beverage and I don't appreciate the confusion.
Explaining my very good Overall hugs, I obviously like these guys and look forward to more of the same.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
