I think of this wit as what happens when coriander/clove is replaced by extra hops. Hassaku White is different than the style's classics; but the addition of more hops is a good experiment.
Hassaku is good Looking; a healthy foam leaves a lace. Smells are muted as I like more clove, coriander and tropical fruits in my wits. Tastes are balanced despite the hops being so prominent in the finish. Only 10 IBU says the brewer. Medium-mouthed. The yeast makes this a good brew and sets it apart from other East Asian efforts.
Why the good Overall Hugs? To encourage this young micro. They've done an excellent job of packaging, their labels in particular have a consistent theme. They have an on-line store. (The first I've seen in East Asia with all its macros controlling the distribution, they don't need on-line sales.) And they have a broad and interesting portfolio of styles. And it's funny how the Japanese are the first to copy styles and, so far, have ended up the best. I bet their laws help. Kanpai !

2-pour head which settles to rim bubbles. Ring lace after each sip. Cloudy, creating a white hue to the dirty gold color.
Good wheat aroma but no clove or banana. Smooth and attractive.
Highly carbonated but the neutral body keeps it from becoming too spritzy. The wheat is less present in the taste and the hop is more pronounced leading to a decent length aftertaste.
