This dry hopped lager carries a slightly dank aroma along with gooseberry and citrus notes, with a clean light malt foundation the body rounds out with a citrus kick and a light bitterness to cleanse the palate. Crystal clear and crispy as hell, this little Boi is an everyday crusher.

My Best new Mate, AzfromOz, added this beer. So I don't want to start an argument with him (because I have so few friends as it is, and he has committed yet.) But, Crispy Boi could easily be a Rice Lager. Crispy Boi's softness and gentleness of the malt fits the Japanese Rice Lager Style. That said, I'll go with what we got.
Crispy Boi was delicious with a Vietnamese meal prepared by a Buddhist. While the brew Looks only slightly above average for the style (big fluffy foam), its Smells are subtle because rice is subtle compared to barley. Tastes are totally balanced. But the softness is what makes me want more.
As for my micro-review of Dangerous Ales: a good culinary way to follow your bliss ! With its taproom at the Milton Hotel in a beach town directly east of Canberra, this brew and its understanding of the synergy between brewing and food and hospitality all is a promising start. I wish them well and wish I had time on this visit to come visit. Maybe next winter (your summer.)

Purchased at the Tomakin IGA in January 2024 and drunk in September of that year.
L: Hazy, lemony-yellow in the glass, with the brightest white moussy head I've ever seen. A considerable amount of bubbles rush up the glass.
S: Big notes of lemon and lime citrusy hops jump out of the glass, with a slight lager yeast mash note.
T: Exceedingly clean, nicely bitter, and bursting with citrusy, lemony hops. The finish is dry and crisp.
M: The mouthfeel is fluffy and light, carbonation is low to medium, and the swallow has a mild bite. Everything here matches the flavour profile very well.
O: This is a very drinkable lager that would have me happily going back for a second.
Cheers!
