Bright canary gold with a slight haze and ample foam, minimal lace.
Lemon, oak, eucalyptus aromas, a very mild brie rind funk in the periphery. Delicately yeast driven, with complex dry-hop aromas weaving in and out.
Taste is lemony with some underlying botanicals from the hops, and mild supporting malt base. Acidity is low, it’s more tangy with a mild hop bitterness in the dry finish.
Light bodied, effervescent and easy drinking. The oats add a smooth creaminess to the texture and round things out nicely.
Overall this is well executed, nothing is out of balance. Locally, it reminds me of Keeping Together and Afterthought. Glad to see exciting developments in the French beer scene, albeit from so far away. Great first impression from Sacrilège.

My first from this obscure nano in the South of France, almost mid-way between its two largest cities (Toulouse and Marseilles.) Of course, this is wine country... which helps explain why this is such a naturally dry brew. The South of France is quite far from Belgium's mines, the grisette's natural habitat. Pleasant at the table, Halte paired well with a simple meal of asparagus and three different honey mustards. Versatile at tonight's table.
Bought for a stratospheric $19.99 (for a cheapskate like me) from The Beer Temple and poured into their tulip. Halte's average ratings I best explain by an inadequate yeast. Halte has no lasting foam and Smells indistinct. However its Tastes are balanced and offers subtleties, instead of the heavy hops or amped-up malts used by micros who aren't sure what they are doing. So in that sense, Halte captures the essence of the grisette: it is a modest brew for workers.
I'm not able to give a micro-review of this nano as they have no webpage and use Facebook instead (and I object to going on Facebook for dis-information reasons.) However I can relate the label from Lime Ventures which says "Dry Hopped Foeder Grisette" which helps to explain the dryness. I'm seeing more of Lime Ventures' work and look forward to more.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
