The beer was either aged in zinfandel wine barrels or blended with that wine, and I detected a fruity wine taste, but I couldn't tell that it was zinfandel.

This is a Zinfandel sour, which I believe meant a hybrid beer-wine blend.
A surprising gem of a beer, this pours a light pink color. There’s a nice berry note on the nose, followed by the sip. Light and tart. Refreshing.
