Pours a dark golden amber color with a very small head. Aroma is lemon and malt with taste being the same. Not a super big fan of shandies but is decent. BOD 7-18-2024.

Pours a slightly hazy bronze color, with a small long lasting head. The aroma has a nice mellow sweetness lemon. The flavor has mildly sweet a hint of bitter, lemonade notes with some cereal notes. Good feel. Overall a flavorful yet balanced shandy.

Dry, a little bit tart, luckily not too sweet, but although it smells nice, it nonetheless doesn’t quite hit the spot. It’s also too strong for a legitimate shandy.

this is solid as these prepackaged shandy types go, and i agree with the name, this is a great beer pretty much anytime, and for me, ice cold after a long day of projects, it really hit the mark, a deep quenching first gulp made a great impression, and this is a total ripper with a few key things going for it. the first is how dry it is, like the lemon aspect is there but its not as sweet as most people expect lemonade to be these days, of course its not that tart either, but at least its not packed with white sugar character, makes it way more drinkable and refreshing. i also think the base beer is less cheap than in a lot of these, not malty or hearty, but not soulless either, snappy and easy, but it tastes as much like beer as it does like lemon, and i think its important not to lose that element, so nice balance overall here. acidity is low but its enough to make this quick finishing at least, and the high carbonation is ideal for it. some body, subtle cereal grain character is enough, zested lemon slightly concentrated to me, real enough. the proportions are excellent, and this is as good as i expected it to be from an operation like deschutes, somewhat more beery than others, obviously we are getting past the season for it in a hurry here, but i could pound on these. real well done in a style space that often underwhelms.

12oz bottle pours that soft pale straw color with a hefty fluffy white top. Lemonade and simple grains on the nose, the nose is better than the palate to me, this doesn't mesh as well as some other offerings within the style seem to mesh, too much graininess.
