Appearance: Pours clear and golden with a slightly rocky three finger head; Good retention leaving clumps of lace
Smell: Lactic sour tones accentuated by wheat, pina colada and citrus; Tequila in the background
Taste: A hint of clean pilsner malt flavor at the outset but that is quickly shoved aside by the lactic sour wheat tones; after the swallow, the fruit flavors emerge, with the pina colada first and then the orange; the finish is wrapped in Tequila barrel
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate to high carbonation; some warmth in the gullet
Overall; Catharina is a new style to me and this is a fun example
