On draught at the pub, Saison De Poivre is dull gold with a small white head that leaves light lace.

Smell is odd, there's something a little off-putting I can't quite place, like a mix of yeast and BO. Maybe just really herbal hops.

Taste is better, this is one spicy, peppery saison, a nice minty snap of hops, a touch bready. Rustic.

Mouthfeel is prickly dry, medium light bodied.

Drinkability is pretty good. It' not my preferred style of saison, with the bitting spiciness, but it's got a rough, dry quenchability to it, and low alcohol fitting of session, if you were so inclined to have a few (I was satisfied with one).
