16oz can. Painted label. No dating information found.
Clear, pale gold colored body. One finger finger of white head and this becomes an interrupted cap and higher ring. Scattered small spots of lacing.
Aroma is sweet pine, with some background pineapple, orange, and grapefruit.
Taste is jammy, sweet fruit, and pine needles. Flavors of pine resin, blueberry/blackberry, pineapple, caramel malts, grapefruit, orange, and mint. Touch of onion at the end. Aftertaste is lingering with the fruit flavors. Certainly bitter but soaked in sweet honey.
More than medium mouthfeel. Sticky texture, with syrup going down the throat. Uses the higher ABV% as a sweetener. Good carbonation.
Very well realized Imperial West Coast IPA.
