Had this on my first trip to Seek and was blown away. Gave a taster of this a 4.50 on July 28, writing “Whoa. Dare I saw a world-class lager?” Untappd called this one “Setting you up for the summer with a crusher to have on the patio or take to the beach. German Pilsner malt, Tettnang hops, and a couple months lagering give this beer clean crispness with classic lager beer flavors. 4.5% ABV.”
Poured a straw-to-pale yellow clear color with three fingers of frothy white head. Could see lots of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass at different speeds. Excellent foamy lacing. Outstanding retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Smelled hay, grass, grain, earthy malt, buttered sourdough bread, white cracker, corn, Noble hops, black pepper and hints of manure. Even better out of the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted even better than the nose. So clean and crisp. In order got hay, grass, grain, sourdough bread, white cracker, corn, Noble hops, pear, kiwi, light apple and some black pepper. (Taste - 4.50)
Light body. Oily texture. Lively carbonation. Clean, crisp finish. (Feel - 5.00)
Damn. This was just about as good as I remember it. (Overall - 5.00)
