Copenhagen 15/4 2026. 33 cl can from Meny, Illums, Kbh. K. Yellow can with a silver hop flower. A bit over the best before date (march 2026).
Pours opaque unclear golden yellow with a big white head. Stable. Settles as a thin but unbroken layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet perfumed odor mingling with tart notes. Sweet malt and perfumed hand soap. A hint of mint. Tart citrus and lemon. Whiff of black pepper.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, gently tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a rather strong sweetness followed and balanced by a strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and finish is dry.
Dry and a bit perfumed.

330 ml can, as Saison Dupont Dry Hop, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6.5%, IBU 40. Slightly hazy golden colour, large white head. Distinct aroma of spicy Belgian ale yeast and spicy hops, hints of stewed fruits. The flavour (mid between dry and sweet) has the same elements, with a distinct but well balanced bitterness in the finish.

Heads up! Reviewing Dry Hop really requires a side-by-side with the Grand-Daddy. It's a matter of fairness to the off-spring. But it's also a question of memory loss as I ask myself "How can this be the base saison that I've had 59 times on UnTappd" where the classic is my second most repeated brew?
The easy answer is the hops are different. Dry Hop leaves a metallic Taste in my mouth. It Looks similar, but fades much faster and without swirling protein. It Smells mostly like fruity malt, but not distinct. Tastes are not as satisfying or balanced as the classic. Not quite medium-mouthed and the classic is on the plus side of the divide.
So how do I make sure. Well, I will drink another Dry Hop side-by-side with the classic. Stay tuned.
11/11/25 I did not find the classic when I found this copy of Dry Hop. But I think my review is largely accurate upon second thought: these hops are too different from the Classic.
