Very clear, color is brown spirit-like, dull amber, dark copper, peach tones. Fine, sudsy, tannish head, weak to moderate retention. Smells tart, metallic, a little spicy and funky. Nice phenols. To the palate, spice and metallic tartness up front. More fruity tartness as it sloshes and lingers. Overripe banana, funk, yeastiness, dry vermouth, pepper, anise, and other spices make themselves known for the finish. Moderately bitter and clovey finish. Peppercorn and anise retro-olfaction. Not overly hoppy. Light to medium body. Prickly at first but quickly smoothing, densely packed, fine carbonation. Perfect with the flavor profile.
