Fragments is a bright copper colored “extra special bitter”, and is the bigger brother to our “best bitter” called Smithereens. It takes larger chunks of specialty malts for a more pronounced toasty and nutty malt profile that goes down real smooth.

What a treat! Fresh at the brewery in Astoria. Luscious head - English as all get out in both appearance and taste. Hop malt balance near perfect

L: Reddish gold body, almost copper, two finger soapy head that dissipates quickly.
S: Light and sweet. Honey, bread dough, hints of caramel and fruit.
T: More floral and fruity and citrusy than the nose, with an initial hit of sweetness that fades away. A bit of lemon and black tea in the body, and lingering bitterness.
F: Moderate carbonation, dryish finish that sits on the tongue.
O: The citrus comes out more and more with each sip. I like it, though I’d like a bit more malt character to balance it.
