This year's version is a blend of barrel aged blood peach mixed fermentation from Scott Farm VT and threads from barrel aged concord grape mixed fermentation saison. We taste a wonderful push pull effect between ripe peach skin, and the juicier more sweet concord grapes with a pleasant oaky and vineous backdrop.

Pours a wild honey color with some reddish hues. Short cap of white foam falls to wispy islands and a thin ring. Fairly clear but picks up a bit of sediment on the final bit of the pour.
Smell is a hybrid of vinous grape and peach. There's a wee bit of funk. Oaky woodiness.
The taste is a delicate blend of sweet, wine-like grape, peach, and just a bit of crackery malt. There's a lot of oak in the aftertaste once the main flavors subside. It's mildly tart with just a touch of funk. The oak shouts a hard hello at the back end and there's a little peppery spice build in the aftertaste.
Light, refreshing, and bone dry.
Overall this is a very clean mixed fermentation beer with just the lightest bit of funk thrown in for good measure. It's dry and there's pronounced oak on the finish. Excellent brew.
