Brewed with Kveik Yeast
A little bit of a different take on a saison. As you may have guessed this beer also has a strain of yeast directly from Norway. You might say that this is a distant cousin to our kveik red...but don't quote me on that.

Pours opaque orange-copper, with a huge 4" creamy off-white head. The head slowly turns rocky, eventually leaving sticky lace to coat a Pretentious Glass Co,. Tulip glass. The remains of the head float like a pillow for a while before ultimately settling to the thick blanket.
Old leather comes to mind first, followed by it's funky partner. Quite floral with sweet bubble gum, light banana and cloves. There is a mild wood smoke with tar and bread showing-up late.
The flavor is earthy with a balance of mild bitterness and sourness. Sweetness follows, making a slightly higher impression. Wheat bread and sun tea give way as it warms, allowing sourness to elevate a little, adding a zing of Rochefort cheese. The finish is long and mild.
It has a medium body and slick stiff texture. Alcohol is as expected and is the modest fizzy carbonation.
This is the second Kveik yeast beer I tried, and from the same brewer. This one has more of the exotic nature I had expected from the yeast. It is the clear stand-out of the two and a just reward for a long day of yardwork. Super refreshing and relaxing.
