This is where French and Belgian ales blend for us! Lanterne Rouge is light, bright, delicious and refreshing, brewed with raspberries and hibiscus for slightly sweet, but dry finish

Served from the tap into a tulip glass. A gorgeous deep reddish color with notes of pink. Not an especially large head like some saisons, but that may be due to careful pouring by the bartender. Really it's beer eye candy in the glass.

The smell is wonderful, with hibiscus being the most forward, bur plenty of fruity raspberries in there too.

The taste is somewhat inverted, with raspberry being most forward, followed by hibiscus notes.

It's crisp and dry, with just a touch of sweetness from The raspberries.

Overall it's a fine saison that's not going to be put into the usual box for the style. An interesting first beer from my first trip to this brewery.
