Undated can; drank 10/31/25 @ the Yarchives.
See-through pale yellow appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big off-white head; strong, frothy tree-rung lacing remained.
Dry dandelion, mild citrus & faint white bread notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Dry dandelion & pine flavors.
This smelled somewhat intriguing, but was so bracingly dry & bitter that it wasn't for me.

10/18/25 - (Can - Home) (Chicago, IL) Can Notes: Purchased at Beer on the Wall at Park Ridge refrigerated for $4.55 including tax on September 12, 2025. Refrigerated upon returning home until opening this morning. 16 oz, no can date, distributed week ended 8/9/25. Lager, 5.2% Alcohol By Volume - Keep Cold - Drink Fresh - Recycle. Hops: Strata & Cascade. Malt: German Pilsner Malt. Brewed and packaged by Forest & Main Brewing Company, 241 N. Main Street, Ambler, Pennsylvania.
Appearance: Poured about 8 oz into a tall slender Pilsner flute glass, yielding a slightly unfiltered golden straw yellow base, heavy sustained carbonation like a thunderstorm, a full creamy bright bubbly head which results in limited clumpy lacing but a creamy sustained 1/4 inch cover over the base. 4.5
Aroma: Lemongrass and cracker. Faint but like the tiny sample I'm pulling. 3.5
Taste: Seltzer water backed by lemon candy, more like the European lemon candies in metal tins than the corn syrup lemonheads made today. It's OK, but not at all consistent with a Lager label, and I would guess this is a malt beverage vs. a beer, if I didn't read the label. Perhaps it is. 3.25
Mouthfeel: More fizzy than anything, add depth to a watery base. Sugar sweet and sustained fizzy flavorless carbonation. Drinks below the 5.2% ABV. Lemonheads, a movie theatre box. 2.75
Overall: This is the second head scratcher of the latest drop. Can see people who like Truly drinkers liking this. If you are looking for a traditional lager, you might want to find another brewer. Score lowered for departure from style, like standing on another continent. 2.5

Sunray Lager pours a golden color with a huge, long-lasting, frothy, lacing head. The aroma has prominent notes of beechwood. The flavor is bitter hints of corn, and lots of beechwood. Good feel. Overall, lots of flavors, quite bitter.

Goldenrod colored clear body with a full white head, leaving behind thicks globs and bands of lacing, one of the best lacing beers in a long time. In the nose: lemon hops dominate! Slight grass and malt support meekly. Lager yeast, grass, and pale grain meet the lemon hops in a more balanced way in the taste, but make no mistake lemon is still the star, almost shandy like without the sweetness. Feel Is bright and light with agressive dry hops and light yeast with a crisp malt backbone, thirst quenching. Summer time crusher in the hottest of days

Clear pale gold with an airy white foam head that collapses fairly quickly.
Crisp and corny with a bit of an herbal bitterness in the amazingly dry finish.
Solid, I like it.

16oz can purchased as a single from the fridge from a local bottle shop/bar. I don't remember how much I paid for this. It was probably $3.99 or $4.35. No canned on date.
Look: This looks like a beautiful lager - somewhere between straw and golden color with a very faint haze. Little bubbles steadily rising up the glass. My pour may have been a bit too aggressive; yielded two fingers of frothy, rocky off-white head that receded to about a half-finger.
Smell: Very nice aromas coming out here - lager funk along with lots of great dry hop aromas including gooseberry, lemon zest, lemon meringue, and grapefruit. Peppery; green bell pepper notes after swirling the glass.
Taste: Oh yeah, super crushable. Up front, the flavor mimics the nose with slightly juicy, fruity notes of gooseberry and bright citrus. It has a light crackery malt that gives a nice blank canvas for the hops to shine. The finish is moderately bitter with grapefruit pith and lots of grassy, peppery notes. It's really refreshing. This would be really good to drink on a hot day.
Feel: Light to medium bodied. Perfectly carbonated. Super clean, crisp, and fresh.
Overall: Interesting that they chose to dry hop this lager with Strata and Cascade. It makes a nice balance between fruity/juicy and grassy/pithy/bitter.

The building in which our pub now sits was once Ambler Skate Shop and well before that it was Sunray Drugs. Enjoy this lager and think about the past.
From instagram:
Oh yes, this one hits the spot. We brewed this one with premium German Pilsner malt and hopped and dry hopped it with respectable doses of Strata and Cascade. When that refined doughy German barley flavor finds that crisp clean lager note and melts into that fresh fruit hop character, you can really feel it!
We find notes of fresh pear strudel, gentle donut peaches, homemade pasta boiling, salt free crackers with lemon marmalade, and lots of great beer flavors.
