Pours dark brown but appears pitch black in the glass with one finger of off-white creamy head. Nose is agave, coffee, chocolate. Taste is tequila, oak, dark chocolate, faint coffee, char. Moderately carbonated, creamy, thin-to-medium body. Finish is tequila and dark chocolate, some bitterness. After two more on different occasions, would not revisit. Tequila is overwhelming and doesn't work.

This was another winner from Nick U's backyard, July 2017 before the Heartbreaker & Stapleton show at Summerfest. Big Central Waters fan, this was a treat.
Pours a dark brown bordering on black color, Central Waters is really good at not making sludge barrel aged stouts. The coffee was a definite second chair beyond the sweet tequila impression, this one was sweeter than their other tequila barrel aged beer we had that night.
Taste as it has been mentioned before, does come off like a tequila barrel peruvian morning. I dug it. Wasn't heavy, as usual Central Waters makes 10% easy, without going the sludge route, you have a nice sturdy base but without the heft and viscosity that makes people resort to Chicago pours. Cocoa nibs plentiful enough to smooth it out, but not so much that the sweetness is competing with the other parts. Manages to go tequila first, but a chocolate and coffee script as supporting actors who nail their roles. Very well done.

Similar to Peruvian Morning but the tequila barrel just wasn't quite for me. Somehow the coffee flavors got masked by a barrel that wasn't as strong as the bourbon barrels CW normally uses.
