Pours dark brown with a modest one finger head. Aroma is vanilla and gingersnap, which is not one I recall experiencing before. It is quite distinct. Taste is bitter, still gingersnap, with a note of maple and malt. Not particularly creamy but moderately bodied and quick to finish. A quite unique beer!

Central Waters Gingersnap Imperial Stout, 10.5% ABV. Pours thick and black, with a two-finger light-brown head that left no lacing. Nose is gingerbread, vanilla, and roast malt. Taste follows with the roast malt throwing shade on the rest, moderately sweet, quite bitter. Decent mouthfeel, with copacetic carbonation. Overall very good., but would have been a contender if it tasted like it smelled. If you're worried that this is a pastry stout, don't, it's not.

Gingersnap Stout pours a very dark brown color, with a small, but long lasting, lacing tan head. Aroma is big and sweet, lots of gingersnap cookie notes. Flavor is sweet, but not too sweet, lots of ginger snap cookie notes. Very creamy feel. Overall, a very flavorful stout, love the ginger snap cookie notes, not overpowering, comes together very well.

Poured from a 12 oz can. Very dark brown and opaque with a tan head of about 2 fingers. This immediately hits me as an after-dinner or dessert beer. On the nose, it's mostly vanilla and ginger. To the palate, it has a very sweet bourbon-barrel-aged flavor with little ginger and a lot of brown sugar and maple. This is probably best with a really good cigar. I love it!! I will be serving this on special occasions. FYI: The wife loves it too!! :)

Strong scent of... what?... when I popped the top on this: vanilla, canned pineapple juice, butterscotch, ginger, molasses, caramelized brown sugar. A finger's worth of brown-sugar-and-beaten-egg-white colored froth developed then quickly receded into the opaque coffee-colored brew. Ginger is the briefest initial taste, but this is quickly overpowered by molasses and a slightly unpleasant sourness of bitter citrus. Mouthfeel is a little abrasive. Arguably, the citrus and carbonation cut into the sweetness but they are backloaded so that those are the final impressions left in my mouth. Given the molasses, I'm a little surprised that this doesn't feel like it has more body... which, again, could be a good thing for some. As for me, I'll drink it but I'll be baking myself gingersnaps if I get the craving.
Edit: 5/17/24: I'm knocking the taste down a bit. I like the first few sips, but it wears out its welcome quickly.

Appearance - The beer poured a brownish black color with a tan head.
Smell - Wow, this had a huge gingersnap nose!
Taste - The initial taste was molasses, burnt sugar, and a handsome amount of ginger. After a bit, the profile became a bit overwhelming like a deep molasses cola. The ginger lingered nicely. It was quite like a ginger snap.
Mouthfeel - For a stout, the body was a bit thin. Carbonation was somewhat assertive.
Overall - This beer exceeded my expectations.
