This was the rare beer that you couldn't drink on tap at the source, you had to buy a can of it. Whatever, at least I got the sticker that way.
Pours a pretty light brown caramel like color out the can. I think I split this one with that cool dude at the bar. Off white head, 1/3" deep. Good toffee, caramel, earthy, nutty barley aroma to it. Even though it was springtime, the cool temps gave this a fall like vibe, falling leaves all around.
The taste brought a very chill lightly toasted aspect of those toffee and caramel ratios. Very appropriate thin viscosity to those things, its not like heavy viscous caramel feels at all, we're talking hints in the taste and mouthfeel. This is one of those rare low abv session beers that I think are appropriate for slow sipping. As a historical counterpart to the mild ales, this actually in 2024 takes on more of a mild position relative to the rest of the beer world, and sometimes its just nice to watch the rain fall while sipping on something like this. Would bang again.

8 oz pour on tap at the Milwaukee taproom. Pours a light reddish brown with a moderate head. Aroma and flavor feature nutty/bready malt and light earthy hops with a hint of toffee. You can tell it's a low-abv beer but it's not thin or watery. This would be easy to knock back a pint or two.
