From a 12oz can, no date on the can.
This beer has a nice dark red color to it. There's a bit of murkiness to it. The head is a 1 1/2 finger tan colored head. The head retention is quite good and there's some great looking sticky lacing on the glass as the head dissipates.
The aroma of this beer is very full of woody notes from the barrel used. I am getting hints of peach. I am getting hints of caramel and toffee. It does have a slightly boozy aroma.
The taste is caramel and toffee up front with a hint of brown sugar. The middle is all peach and some woodiness. The finish has a nice bitterness to it with hints of peach still coming through.
The body is quite full. Slightly bubbly feeling. Somewhat smooth feeling. Very little burn to this beer.
Very tasty beer from CW. Very well made.

Ruby-tinted brown with a half-finger of tan head that sticks around for a decent tick given the style. Nice sheets of lacing, too.
Peach, tea, brown bread and crystallized sugar chews in the nose.
Peach tea in the taste with a dry finish.
Relatively light bodied with light fizz.
Very nice. Fantastic peach presence in the one. Much drier than most barleywine these days.

Poured cool to a small snifter. Color is a ruddy amber, clear. Fairly quick white head burns down to some periphery wisps. Aroma is a tease of peaches and some leathery quality. Flavor follows the aroma, with an extra hit of the brandy elements of the peach brandy. Mouthfeel is medium with a fair amount of dryness I assume from the barrel. Hops take a little bite near the end of the lingering flavors. Alcohol hides well up front, with maybe a tinge if warming after a few sips. Very nice brew, one that could easily be a day-long sipper if you had a magnum.

Poured from a can at fridge temp. Pours a murky brown with a hint of red. Quickly dissipating head. Tons of small bubbles rising throughout. The nose screams brandy, honey, and apricots. Some nice notes of caramel come through after a few minutes. Nice and fruity for sure!
The taste is so smooth. Fruity sweetness. Malty bread notes. Honey. Not much caramel on the taste. Mostly peach brandy, apricots, and a hint of plums. There is a slight oaky bitterness to it, but it's minimal. Really smooth barleywine!

This is my first barleywine from CW that isn't Kosmyk Charlie's based. The peach brandy barrels dominate which works for me. No fresh fruit to be found here, these are all booze soaked. There is some caramel here and maybe a little wood, but this is pretty much a showcase for fruit that should be kept far from open flame. Love it.
