This label used Four Roses bourbon barrels. We have employed plenty of these barrels throughout the long history of our barrel aging program, but for the first time ever, we are releasing some barrels on their own! The way this batch of stout combined with 35 months of aging in barrels was so distinct, it warranted this debut. We don't get a lot of these barrels - so this one will be the most limited release of the year.

Another 25 variant? Say it ain’t so! Headed to Amherst again shortly for another rando release because the others have been so consistently fantastic. Pink label on this 22 oz. bottle, split with my wife.
Black; like most, no visible head after a few minutes of rest. Tons of oak in the nose.
Twenty Five – Four Roses Barrel Aged is solid. Not in the god-tier of its peers. Nice bourbon hit up front but it’s subtle, sweeter, gentler than other variants I’ve swilled. The base is sweet malts, touch of roast (lost in the other barrels). A swiller rather than a sipper.
Not much to separate this from a massive, rampaging pack of barrel aged beers available across the country. A very good brew.

Sweet caramely bourbon, dark / dry chocolate & cherry cola notes. Massive leather & dry oak; earthy & charred barrel vibes. Big dry smokey finish. No booze at all for an almost 15% BA stout. Well balanced.
