Our long standing relationship with B&E's Trees started with a random conversation at the Energy Fair. Eric (the E of B&E's) came over to talk, and a partnership was born that has been nothing but adventure for both of our companies. B&E's takes fresh bourbon barrels from us to age maple syrup in, then sends them back to us for aging beer. We couldn't do a 25th Anniversary series without including these barrels. The stout base is the biggest we use in the anniversary series, was aged three years in the maple syrup barrels, then finished for five months in twelve year old Elijah Craig barrels. The flavors of maple and bourbon are both intense in this beer, a sipper, and definitely a bottle to share with good friends.

As I move through my religious crusade to swallow every Twenty Five variant in existence, we come to the 22 oz. bottle something something maple syrup. My love. Split with my wife.
Black. Minimal apparent biotic life. The nose sings of the simple things in life: bourbon, maple, stout. The good things.
Twenty Five – B&Es Double Barrel Maple Bourbon is hot & sticky. Perhaps CW’s booziest beer to date leavened by enough syrup that it makes me want to lick the fork. The bourbon is sublime; both aggressive enough to curl my fingernails & subtle enough to leave room for the maple to play up sweetly. Thick. I should have cut my wife out of this. A bomber would be about the right serving size.
Maple, bourbon, malt, exercised in a masterful way. Top-shelf & one of the brewery’s best beers ever, which is saying something. Wish I had another.
