Central Waters Brewer's Reserve French Toast BBA Stout, 11.7% ABV. Pours black with a one-finger beige head that left no lacing. Aroma is cinnamon and maple. Taste is cinnamon, maple, bourbon, quite sweet, slightly bitter, no notable burn. Excellent mouthfeel, overall excellent.

L: Pours dark syrup, forming a thin tawny head that fades quickly, leaving behind only a scant trace of bubbles on the surface and very faint hints of effervescence rising on the edge of the snifter. Held to the light, this beer possesses an opaque dark caramel hue.
S: Notes of cinnamon, maple are most noticeable. Trace of vanilla, bourbon, oak, and malt.
T: Follows the nose, with strong imprint of maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon, and bourbon. Notes of oak, roasted malt, and faint char. Some chocolate and molasses in the finish. Fairly sweet but not cloying.
F: Full-bodied. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel with light carbonation. Lingers on the tongue.
O: Dessert stout, and a good one. Not so much French toast but nonetheless delicious

Pours a rich, dark mahogany brown with a thick one-half finger head of foam. Aroma is bourbon, cinnamon, vanilla and maple. Taste is not too much like French toast, but more vanilla, bourbon and maple. Nicely sweet but with good ABV and bourbon character. Recommended.

Brewer's Reserve French Toast Stout pours black with a small, long-lasting, lacing white head. The aroma has notes of vanilla, cinnamon, and maple. The flavor is big and very sweet, with lots of vanilla and maple, and hints of commando come through, giving it a very creamy feel. Overall, big flavors, very sweet.

From a 12oz bottle. No date on the bottle. Served at room temp.
There's a bit of a hiss and a good deal of smoke upon opening the bottle. This beer pours pitch black. The head is a 1 finger tan color. Frothy looking with smaller bubbles. The retention is pretty good, and there's some lacing on the glass.
Nose has a good hit of maple. I also get notes of vanilla and cinnamon. Not really getting any barrel notes in the aroma.
Taste - The beer is a good mix of vanilla and maple up front. The cinnamon hits more toward the back and cuts the sweetness of this beer a bit. I do get a very faint hint of the bourbon barrel used to age it, but it's so faint.
This beer is quite thick feeling, Full, and smooth. I am really getting no burn here.
I was worried that this might be a sweet mess, but it isn't. It is a nice thick and tasty beer. The only strike is there's so little barrel in this beer.
