From a 22oz bottle.
There was a great pop and a good deal of smoke upon opening the bottle. This beer is pitch black pouring as expected. There was a 1 1/2 finger brown head to the beer that dissipated fairly quickly leaving a ring around the glass, and no lacing.
Aroma is so full of vanilla, caramel, toffee, coffee, chocolate, dark fruit and the sweet smell of Buffalo Trace bourbon. Very pleasing.
Wow. There's lots going on here. There's just a ton of chocolate that has both sweeter and dark notes to it. The vanilla is just off the charts strong and pleasing. A good hit of caramel and toffee show up. There's coffee notes on the back. There's also hints of Buffalo Trace throughout. All flavors are strong, yet well balanced with each other and blend well together.
Decent thickness to the body. Very smooth and full feeling. There's a nice faint burn that tells you to take it slow.
Damn delicious. Central Waters is well known for their BA stouts, and this is downright delicious.
