This is my second from BALF. And it may be too early to conclude this, but I will throw it out as a hypothesis: BALT is a contemporary throwback to 19th Century brewing before the Industrial Revolution took over. While BALT is urban, this has a very rustic character; pleasantly without the farmhouse funk.
Ferme has a very firm foam and appealing Blond bod. Smells are mild, mostly malt. But that seems to announce the balance Taste with its hops entering mid-palate and finishing stronger (perhaps lingering too strong and long for me.) But still very soft in my mouth.
In addition to going wonderfully well with my Mediterranean sandwich and letting its pesto fill my senses, Ferme gets high Overall Hugs for BALT and this interesting cooperative brewing model that now seems all over Brussels in the few days I've been here. A Sante' !

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
