this is a banger, but ive come to learn that pretty much all their beer is. this is the modern west coast ipa, super pale, only middle of the road bitterness, dry hoppy and clean to drink, without malt heft, excessive bite, or even really much intensity. this leans a little tropical, slightly catty, amazingly fresh too, a cool mix of hops in here although i dont know what they are, could be some mosaic at play, i get canned pineapple in the nose, a little more round in the flavor with orange and tangerine, lychee and lemongrass, and just a bit of a weedy thing, fruity sativa type dankness without being overbearing, and the bitterness rises and disappears fast, its still an ipa, but that aspect is only really there for a flash. it is as flavorful as it is aromatic, the malt seems pils-like and out of the way without being irrelevant, and i love the lighter medium body, speedy carbonation, and pillowy white head on top i have to pull through each sip i take, great retention on it. some cool hop nuance as this warms up too, green grape, fresh almost ripe mango, juicy lemon without the acid, and even like a chamomile thing. there is some real expert level skills in the brewhouse here, this is immediately relevant beer, supremely drinkable, and hiding its abv pretty effectively. this is a joy to drink, if it becomes somewhat of a flagship for them i wouldnt be at all surprised. a beauty!

16oz can served in a footed pilsner glass. Can is dated 05/17/24. Got it in a trade with @Norsemanone.
Pours crystal clear light yellow, biggish 2-3 finger head, slow collapse to a thick and clumpy mountain range. Smell is a little bit of dankness, some dark melon rind, a little earthiness.
Taste is mineral, dark lemon (burnt lemon?), strong earthy bitterness.
Mouthfeel is light, not there but moving toward thin and watery. Overall...it's not bad.
