Black Hole was aged in Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels and has notes of Luxardo dark cherries, dark chocolate, vanilla, brown sugar and charred oak from American Oak barrels. Sip this one slow like a dessert wine and the aromas will bloom in the glass as it warms, revealing deeper dark chocolate and rich coffee notes with an oaky vanilla background

Well I finally hit this one (after snaotheus).
Deep, dark, motor oil in hue. Has an oily sheen once the head dissipates. The cocoa colored foam rises a firm 2 fingers+ and slowly retreats to a solid ring after 4-5 minutes. leaves some layered lacing.
Nose starts off with unsweetened baker's cocoa, some earthy barrel and char, hints of a fruit along the live of port barrel, and finally some boozy sweetness.
Flavor follows the nose pretty faithfully. The key here is that nothing comes off as too sweet. Yes, there is cocoa and Bourbon. Yes, there is a hint of cherry/port barrel but nuanced. Some vanilla chimes in as well as a hint of barrel char.
Mouthfeel is thick, no ABV warmth, and finishes a bit slick.

500ml bottle served in a WABL sample glass. If bottle is dated, I don't see it. It's 10.9% abv. @2beerdogs gifted it to me when I was in his neighborhood last month.
Pours tarry black with very little head, and the head that I see looks oily. Smell is boozy, bourbony, vanilla, molasses, char. Some anise.
Taste is quite boozy, more of a cherry sweetness, lots of sweetened coffee and chocolate, somewhere in the char there's a lot of vanilla, increasing coffee roastiness as I sip and it warms a little in the glass.
Mouthfeel is thick, but not for the style or the abv. Smooth, but not quite velvet. Overall, very nice.

Pours chocolate coffee brown with nice khaki head on draught at brewery. Notes of chocolate and coffee with bourbon bare this a truly great local DTLA micro stout at a tespy 10.9% ABV.
