Pours hazy gold with a fast dissipating head. The aroma is of oranges and lactic acid. The taste is of oranges, orange and lemon peel, white grapefruit, pineapple, herbal hops. The mouthfeel is light bodied with high carbonation. The finish is medium dry with lingering orange notes.

A nice mimosa type beer. Fruity and sweet, but never too sweet.

473 ml can served cold into a pint glass. LCBO purchase for around $3.50 CDN. Freshest by September 13, 2021.

Appearance - Hazy rich golden color with neon yellow highlights. A small finger of white head is poured and fizzles out within 2-3 minutes.

Smell - Orange, and kind of artificial at that, notion of some other citrus there None of this bothers me. Does in fact smell like a mimosa. Rather sweet.

Taste - Again mimosa-ey. Some orange, lots of mineral water, slight bit of graininess and elements of grape hidden in the depths.

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied, fairly crisp, but doesn't have the same super crisp and light palate that a true mimosa does.

Overall - As far as cocktail flavored beers go, this is pretty good, light and moderately refreshing, for those who rather enjoy radlers. I wouldn't object to having it again, but it's a novelty buy, I'm unlikely to buy much more than another single.

473 mL can from the LCBO; best before Sept 13 2021 and served slightly chilled.

Pours hazy and translucent, its body a lemon drop yellow colour; situated atop is nearly one finger of soapy, bubbly white head that wilts in less than two minutes. It leaves behind almost nothing, save for a few scant patches of film on the surface - I suppose it looks the part of a mimosa, and it pretty much smells it, too. I'm getting sparkling orange juice, white grapefruit and hints of grape sugar; it's not exactly like champagne, but it does sort of give off that vibe, just a little.

Not especially complex or interesting, but it's a decent facsimile of a mimosa. Sparkling orange juice is the mainstay throughout, with sugary sweetness, grapefruit and finally some grainy pale malts towards the finish, more easily noticed as the tangy juice flavours fade. Light-medium in body, with moderate carbonation levels that provide a little bit of a bite, but not enough to really approximate that lively champagne texture.

Final Grade: 3.6, a passable B grade. Muskoka Mimosa ain't half bad, but it could've been better. My biggest problem with this one was the mouthfeel - champagne is supposed to feel bubbly and spritzy, and I just didn't get that sensation out of this beer, as the carbonation felt a little too gentle. A little more champagne flavour might've also been a boon. It's a better representation than that Moosehead Cherry Mimosa I reviewed a few days ago, and as a fruit beer its something I'm more likely to actually return to. Try this on a hot summer's afternoon in the backyard, or at the golf course, or after a bike ride, etc.
