just my second beer from these guys, who are making quite the name for themselves, lots of hype around their stuff now, sterling reputation, i was excited to see this on tap in my travels! a very tasty, bright, and new school type of west coast ipa, golden in color, no deeper, but not wanting for more malt, this is balanced in a very contemporary way, its not crazy bitter, and there is enough body here in the medium range. the pour is clear and heady from the tap, and this appears quite well refined to me. a mosaic forward aroma and flavor, up front and bright, citrus and pineapple together, a little bit of the catty thing that varietal can sometimes do, but it fuels a middle dankness and actually is flattering in this, some pine and woodsy northwestern character there with it, very dry hoppy, with light tropical character, fruity sativa, and just a touch of grain sweetness in the middle, drier later, some hop oils there on the tongue, but this is light not heavy, flavorful and fresh, some grassy and juniper notes in the back half, sliced orange and grapefruit, an excellent mix of hops here, well rounded behind the leading mosaic, simple but fresh pale barley base, totally neutral and clean ferment, refreshing feeling, drinkable and well proportioned, not mind bending or radical in any way, but super solid all around, this could easily be a daily drinker type ipa. well done, i need to be more intentional about drinking beer from these guys when i am in the markets they distribute to!

Can dated 3/17/25

Pours a very transparent, high clarity, straw yellow with a handful of particulate. Head is airy and leaves subtle lacing. Nose is an immediate burst of hops with mosaic and simcoe being standouts, grass, and some lemon zest. Taste is bitter pine, hints of green onion and grapefruit. Mouthfeel is perky carbonation with a very dry, bitter finish.

Can is undated but does mention this is a special edition because it's their first can release.
Pretty solid.
Straw in color, fluffy white head, good retention that leaves moderate lacing.
Nose states off with some fruit notes: citrus zest, berries, grass, onion, and some crackery malt in the background.
Flavor starts off with a blend of slightly pithy citrus mixing with the grassy onion notes. Pine chimes in a bit as well. The malt is timid but creates a stable foundation for delivering the hops.
Mouthfeel is on the lighter side of medium, decent carb, drying finish.
