O Tanoeiro is a 7.5% geuze that celebrates the craftsmanship behind the barrel maker's art – the hands that create the framework for the transformation from raw liquids to refined pleasures.
This beer is based on a blend of one- and two-year-old Danish wild ales, which were matured for a year in casks that previously housed Cockburn's Port from Portugal's Douro Valley. The Danish wild ales add a complexity and mild acidity that form the foundation, while the port casks bring the taste to new heights with tones of bright red berries and a hint of caramelized sugar.

Copenhagen 13/2 2025. 75 cl bottle with a cork stopper. A strange Storl-like bird hiding in the Reed Forest on the orange hued label.
Pours unclear - almost opaque - golden orange with small white head. Settles as a thin rin off foam running along the side of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a light sweet and fruity odor soon overpowered by acerbic and tart fumes. Sweet currants. Tart gooseberries and Granny Smith. Light touch of wood and alcohol. Whiff of sour cheese. Sharp but not aggressive. The Port Wine is pretty subdued but the wood makes an impression.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, oily, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a light sweetness followed by a strong tart sourness. Aftertaste is tart and acerbic. A bit searing. Lingers for a bit. Finish is dry,
Vinous and dry.
