Subtle vanilla nose, golden apple, pineapple, starfruit, French oak, cracked pink peppercorn, light banana. Chateau Belgian Pilsner and Vienna malts, Wheat, and Belgian Candi Sugar. Sorachi Ace, Lemondrop, and Loral Cryo hops. White Labs 590 French Saison yeast strain, which produces a very dry and drinkable beer with flavors and aromas of pear, apple, and cracked pepper.

Pours a brassy golden color, doesn't make much of a head nor does it provide much semblance of retention. The aroma was also pretty pungent. Kind of came off very similar to their other saison that had a lot of tripel characteristics, but they just swapped out a different yeast on this one.
Taste I enjoyed slightly more here, still had a taste and mouthfeel of more alcohol than your average saison and higher than my preferred tasting range. Tasting notes of cognac, french oak, peppercorn, pineapple boilermaker. But any heat was assisted by a brisker mouthfeel that didn't allow as much sag and burn as the previous one, despite them both having those hybrid like tripel higher abv and fruitiness edges. Interesting take on saisons, but ultimately for me, probably one and done.
